The mutt's ears leaned back against her skull as she looked into the mouth of the cave, opening before her like some beast opening its jaws to gnaw upon her flesh with the fevered intensity that its gaping emptiness would prompt in any living being. She slowly rose from her haunches, straightening out her hind legs with a timid little noise squeaking from her nose. 'Go on, it isn't going to bite you.,' the rough voice said, sounding exasperated. "Well, I know this, it isn't alive and it isn't dark. The smell of snakes doesn't even bother me. Okay. I will shrug the foreboding. You know best, Syst," the she-dog said, before rightly straightening herself up, and trotting forward, her head slowly drifting down to be even with her shoulders as she entered the maw of the Earth, and descended into the viper-smelling hole. It was cool inside, a coolness that penetrated through her paw pads, that she could feel beginning to creep its chilly fingers into her fur. The light came from the ceiling in jagged shaped holes, illuminating rocky walls, a rocky floor, and a rocky arch above. The light spilled in pools, which came in at different angles, intensities of light, and varying frequency. Although, there were never two too far apart as to allow a reservoir of shadows to form, and to writhe with unseen things like the black spaces so often did in System's eyes. "It's pretty, isn't it Syst?" The question came from hardly parted lips as she gazed around in amazement. She only felt him shift within her skull in response to her question. Her travels had held a range of a great distance. She no longer could smell the scents of the wolves who partook in the fights and knew that she was far beyond that reach. She knew though, that there were wolves in the area, for she had scented them heavily in recent weeks. She'd strayed close to their scent markers, curious as to what manner these wolves would be. Syst, mostly was eager for the prospect of a fight, for interaction really of any sort beyond System's simple banters. He grew bored of the lack of stimulation that lulled System into an uneasy state of relaxed. This, of course, would never do - she could not remain in this state, and he fully intended to do something about it. Hence why he drew her here, to the place that reeked of snakes. So far though, she had not smelled anything more recent than a couple hours, and this annoyed him. He wanted to sick her on something since that was the entire point of urging her to come to this damned cave. "Syst, how far do you want to -?" System cut off her mumble when her skull erupted in a massive snarl. 'Scent, you idiot,' he grumbled, taking control of her frame like a puppet master, and wheeled her around, and lowered her head, gazing towards the mouth of the cave. A gust of wind had rushed in, bringing with it the scent of another living being: the sweet scent of a bitch, but the musky odor of a wolf. System whined, and retracted herself, allowing Syst to take full control. The lips peeled back in a snarl that forever graced their features when he took command. She didn't go far though, curious as to what would become of this. Drool began to pool within the closed jaws, and upon parting, dripped to the ground in a soft, wet flump. Body lowering, chin smearing through the puddled drool, Syst fixed his eyes upon the opening of the cave, of which was only about eight strides from their position now. A soft growl began to rumble within his throat, broken only by System's quiet, but still vocal interjection of "Perhaps you should be nice..?"645 words`Envis

The scent of another wedged between myself and my son was infuriating. He enjoyed the company of the snakes, and had been intent to stay while I hunted. Carrying a rabbit by it's head made growling at the new smell a bit difficult. I stopped mid-step, the fur along my spine raising and tail curling up so the tip tickled my back. I stayed still for a moment as my nose twitched to evaluate this scent. Female, not a wolf; everything I didn't need. I pushed myself to walk forward far enough to lay down the rabbit inside the cave's walls so no one would steal it while I dealt with this stranger. Licking the small critter's blood from my lips I showed my blood-stained teeth in a snarl as I walked towards the shepherd, directly across from her now. We were close enough to smell each other, and definitely close enough either of us could lunge and instigate a fight. For now, I held back the desire.
"Why are you here?" I finally asked her, yellow eyes narrowing as I locked on to my target, watching her movements to best anticipate when she may strike. As a stranger, I didn't pretend to know what she would do. My God-complex wasn't so extreme that I seriously thought myself all-seeing, but I did see myself as superior. Regardless of my thoughts, the outcome was never a guarantee. This was why I didn't strike first, and why I always tried to make my enemies speak before I attacked. Their speech often offered me a trip into their mind, hearing how they used their words, if their voice trembled - all of this helped me to plan my next move, and whether they knew it or not it let my enemies dig their our graves. © BRAVE 2017

Syst let out a quiet growl, muttering back to System in the most mocking way, "perhaps you should be nice." Inwardly, System laid her ears back. 'Well, I was just trying to offer advice... I know you won't follow it," she stated, this string of thought words making him roll his eyes. "Now, shut your mouth, you little snit, so I can focus on who this is," he stated. His eyes flicked up towards the mouth of the cave as a shadow fell over it. The figure, silhouetted by the sunlight streaming in behind it. This, Syst realized, was the she-wolf he'd scented. His eyes darted over her figure. 'She's big,' System murmured, perking up curiously. Within her thought process, big wolves equated to her old master. Outwardly, this resulted in the tensing of their body, to which Syst let out a quiet growl, and said, "if you don't bug off with this.." System retreated slightly, fearful of his reprimand. The wolf stepped forward, her steps gliding across the stone. When she was several strides in, Syst caught a glimpse of the pristine color of her fur. His mouth watered more, and a deliciously morbid thought of seeing her coat painted red fluttered through his mind. This excited him, sparking within his own fur like static. System giggled at it childishly, and said, "It's so pretty," which came from their lips, much to Syst's annoyance. "Why are you here?" The bitch spoke. Syst lifted his body, legs straightening, but head staying lowered, looking up at the she-wolf with a glimmer of both aggression and the innocent child-like curiosity that flooded forth from System as she crowded to observe, threatening to push him aside and take control. He knew that this, of course, would be unintended. One would imagine after five years that they would have a handle on not accidentally switching should one push too close to the other, but they hadn't and this often resulted in a confusing muddle of behaviors, statements, and actions in a situation that was particularly interesting to both of them. 'She's watching me,' Syst thought, to which System responded "Well, of course, she's watching, you're a stranger, and her pup is in here somewhere." Eyes widened and a blatant rage sparked within. "Are you fucking kidding me? You knew that and didn't tell me? How did I miss that?" He spoke aloud. A twitch formed in their shoulders to indicate a ghost of a shrug. "Oh you worthless oaf," he said to System, before turning his attention back to the she-wolf, giving a quiet chuckle to her question. "Why are you here?" He mocked, slinking towards her, sniffing curiously at her. "I could ask the same of you, with such white fur. It would be a shame to sully it in a place so dirty as this. It would look much prettier, my dear, if it were painted red. I've never seen a white wolf turn red before. And I've seen lots of wolves turn red. Many dogs too. It's an arousing color." His words tumbled out, as he came to stand within lunging distance of the female. He was acutely aware of the fact that if he could lunge at her, she could most certainly lunge at him. His jaws parted slightly, and legs tensed as the thought prepared him to do just that. Jaws snapped shut, and he skittered back a bit, mumbling a string of swears as he suddenly was in a sitting position. "System, damnit.." He had suddenly been booted back, as the she-dog came forward, her curiosity too much for her to bear. She was up, and touching her nose to the she-wolf's shoulder a moment later, mumbling in an excited manner, eyes wide open as if this would help her see better. "You're so pretty! Syst thinks you're pretty too -" he growled inwardly and rolled his eyes. "Master once said he knew a white she-wolf. Said she was the most beautiful thing ever! She died though, after getting gored by a bear." Syst decided that he would let her play her game for the time being. It had been a while since he'd seen her so animated. Still, though, he knew he would have to punish her for this later since he'd clearly told her to stay back. 'Answer her question, while you're at it.' Her ears twitched. "Oh! Right! I'm just here to explore. Syst says I've been too bored. And boredom makes idle what should be sharp, he says. Why are you?!" She looked at the she-wolf awaiting her response, head cocked to the side. Formerly, speaking to a wolf in such a way would have gotten her bit, or verbally rebutted, but in her absence from the fights, and from a situation that required her to interact in appropriate ways, she had long since forgotten her manners. Syst was fully aware of this but said nothing, curious as to how the she-wolf would take such actions. Wolves, he knew, were fickle beings who generally thought themselves greater than dogs. Some 'ancestral supremacy or something like that' bullshit or something like that. But, they often forgot, he knew, that their own kind had been weak enough to go to the humans that had once turned them into dogs. So, who was at fault? The dogs, or the wolves? He pondered this question sometimes, and always decided that it was the wolves. 906 words`Envis

A compliment was my first verbal answer from the dog. My ears perked and I tilted my head, baffled. What idiot dog thought it was alright to compliment me when I was protecting my territory? She knew she was intruding, there was no way she didn't know unless she couldn't smell - what about this situation left room for voiced appreciation of the body? 'This fool', I thought with a roll of my amber eyes. As the voice spoke, it sounded very little like a female despite the scents before me. Sex and gender were a very complicated thing, but it was easiest to go by one or the other. Aside from that, was this dog talking to themself like there were two of them? Had I stumbled upon a helpless victim of multiple personality disorder?
She mocked my question, and it earned a small growl from my throat. I was trying not to be upset by this foolish behavior, but to say it wasn't irritating would have been a lie. "My fur's color is of no concern to you." I said firmly, rolling my eyes at the words she spoke to me, finding no humor in what was being said. Comparisons were just as boring - wolves and dogs painted red, why not just say they had been ripped apart? I wanted so badly to tell this mutt that she was losing her mind, but I had a feeling she knew already. "Solitude is also arousing." I said in a bit of a grumble, hinting that I would be much happier were I alone. Being alone with my son was ideal, it was the most relaxed I could get. The one person I could trust, he had been raised properly and he was good.
My frame went rigid when I felt her nose on my shoulder, lips curling back in a warning snarl, not sure why I hadn't attacked her for stepping towards me. How had she gotten to touch me without losing her nose? Perhaps I was so caught up in her mental issues that I figured she didn't need any physical injuries ontop of it. Was this a bit of pity? Perhaps... perhaps I did think this dog did not need further torture. As I listened to her explain herself, I heard myself sigh internally and I decided this once I would let it go. She was getting a get out of jail free card, and if she didn't appreciate it she'd one hell of a fool.
"Master?" I questioned her use of words, ears up and eyes locked on her. She'd had a master? I couldn't help but wonder what kind of master, but with the focus set on me, I didn't think I'd get an answer soon. "That wolf was a fool to take on a bear by herself." I said flatly, no feelings for the fellow wolf's death. Even I knew better than to tussle with a hungry bear. Just another fool dying due to their own stupidity - it was nothing new. It was sad how many idiots there were alive. She made one of my ears flick back at her shout that came prior to her explaining why she was here. "Syst?" I repeated the name softly. "Is that the name you gave your alternative personality?" I was genuinely curious, the disease I assumed she had interested me quite a bit.
"I live here." I lifted my leg and rolled my shoulder, pushing her off so she was no longer in contact with me. I took a few steps forward and curled my body so I was between her and the direction of my son. My rabbit was at risk of being stolen, but I could always catch another rabbit; my son wasn't replaceable. "Your friend Syst is right, boredom is never a good thing. But you best be careful where you investigate due to boredom, or you may find yourself the one next gored by a bear." I mused, imaging her torn apart but the claws of a furious bear, bitten and torn in half - oh, what a beautiful thought. © BRAVE 2017

From within, Syst observed. The she-wolf seemed baffled by their behavior - this was nothing new - and even more so by the blatant disregard for the idea of 'territory.' He himself could understand the affront that this may have caused, but he knew, and knew that others did not know, that System herself was indeed a fucking fool. She was simple minded, as he knew the she-wolf would soon be able to discern, and behaved much like a pup. To others, it would seem she never aged mentally, and speculation would lead others to believe that that was where he had come from. A broken mind creates many broken things, after all, in its attempt to put itself back together again. Syst himself did not think this, and even though to an outward viewer, it might seem quite delusional, he knew that he had afflicted her mother before her. Her grandfather. Her grandfather's father. So far down the line that he forgot all of them, except for System and her mother. He had taken form as an embryo when she'd become impregnated by the prized fighter, and when all the other pups had died in utero, he'd merged with System. He'd laid dormant until she was placed in danger. He had sprung forth and created his bloody artwork, and proceeded to do so in every fight System had ever been pinned in. As a younger version of himself, Syst had killed everything that had been brought near him, whether he was supposed to or not. He had been crazed with an inconsolable blood-lust. This had earned him, or rather earned System her beloved title that their master had been so proud of. "My fur's color is of no concern to you." Even now, he could see her thoughts churning in their haphazard way to pin this she-wolf as her new master, as she so often did with wolves they'd encountered. Some seemed enthralled by the idea, but Syst deemed them unworthy, and thus killed them before they could harm his beloved host. Others seemed disturbed by the idea, and fled, leaving System to crumble a little more without a guide that she truly craved. Some, he simply wouldn't allow her to and killed them before the thoughts even fully formed into something comprehensible. This time, he would let them play. "Oh it is when I've never tasted something so sweet. Tell me, is it sweet? Is that what the pup's father purred in your ear?" Syst taunted, giving a giggle. He knew the she-wolf's patience was thin already, and this overjoyed him. "I'm not concerned about it, I just think it's pretty!" System squeaked out, clearly confused. Compliments, she knew, had been expected. Hadn't they..? Her brows twitched together in thought. This allowed Syst to interject with a particularly obscene comment about arousal and solitude, before following it with a series of small sounds. System herself looked appalled by this. "I apologize! He hasn't had a she in a while! He gets like that someti-" She cut herself off with a savage growl that made the fur upon her neck vibrate. She looked startled and looked down for a moment. 'Her lips curled, System. She doesn't want your touch. You move back if she attacks. You cannot handle a wolf, you can hardly handle a damned flea in terms of killing or fighting.' He whispered to her. Her eyes cut to the side, and indeed the she-wolf looked quite angered at the prospect of being touched. She seemed to be deciding something, and at this realization, System wagged her tail, showing that she was friendly. She meant no harm! She only wanted to touch such pretty fur! It reminded her of the fur upon Masha's belly, and she remembered that she had always adored pressing her nose to it. Masha had tolerated it. She felt exhilarated at the notion that she was being tolerated again. Even if only briefly. "My Master, yes. He owned me, and made me fight! It was a sport, you see. I ran away from him because he made me a monster. I didn't want to be a monster, but now I'm okay with it. Are you okay with monsters?" The words shot from her mouth in an almost incoherent string. "Oh she wanted to protect her pups! And the she-bear wanted to protect her cubs. The wolf died! The bear won and ate the pups. It was mercy, Syst said, and mercy was not good." She looked off to the side for a moment, focusing on something far in the darkness. To her eyes, they twitched and squirmed like a thousand, thousand worms. She stared until the white wolf spoke again. Her ears twitched, and her brow furrowed. "Syst isn't a personality. He's the thing that lives in my head." She looked completely perplexed by this notion. Syst on the other paw, stayed quiet, still observing, curious as to the fact that this she-wolf had any notion of the occurrence before her at all. "I was born with her, but if you must simplify it so much, then yes, tis what I am. Although, I am nothing like this little fucking fool," he spoke through their mouth, for once speaking in a manner that wasn't mocking, or insulting, but rather a simple response. System fell back on her haunches when shrugged off. Her eyes shining both with a startling amount of intelligence, and simple curiosity followed the she-wolf. 'The pup is farther in the caves. This explains a lot.' He chuckled to himself. For a brief instant, all traces of System vanished from their physical features, and their eyes filled with a mix of utter disdain, curiosity and blatant desire. "System is but a pup. I'm sure you're quite aware of how they ramble and explore. Just as you would rip anything apart that would threaten that delicious smelling pup of yours, I would slaughter anything that threatened to hurt System. I don't care be it bitch, or bear, they all bleed." He said this calmly, but the threat was there. To him it seemed, they shared common ground in the desire to kill for another thing. This amused him, but he did not show it. His head tilted to the side and he grinned rather impishly. "So be kind to my simpleton, and I'll be kind to your pup. I've fought more skilled than you, my sweet white bitch, and ate their flesh with more vigor than a pup would nuzzle your teat." System shrank inwardly, becoming fearful in the moment. 1098 words`Envis Sorry that they're just getting progressivly longer! xD I also apologize for Syst's blatant vulgarities. I could hear the slight change in pitch as the meek female now spoke crudely, her words not consistent with her previous pattern of speech. The other personality, I easily realized, and listened to "him" intently. His question earned a smirk from my dark lips, bemusement there as I pondered answering. I had charmed the male in the case of Samuel's father, as I had charmed the husky in my last breeding not so long ago, too short a time ago to determine if I was in fact going to be carrying his unborn. That that suddenly hit me like a cave-in, and I realized now was not the time to be tussling with another simply for some out-of-line comments. I had to maintain my body's safety, just in case. Despite my desire to mock the dog that I was the temptress of these lands, I couldn't have this less-than-stable dog getting any ideas. Although she was a female, it would result in a tussle that I dared not risk having. Damn How I wanted to fight, to test this dog's strength...! This was why I despised breeding.
Pretty, she then said, and I could only roll my eyes at the vast difference in personalities. She was mad, and although I needed a good crazy warrior, I had to be careful with this one. It would be safe to assume the "male" counterpart was a valid threat to me, or at least to my possible unborn, and my son within the caves. Too many factors that I couldn't yet predict were laid out before me, I had no alternative but to play it safe. Curse this dog's timing. As the female came around to apologize for the male, I shook my head, maintaining my smile. "You're interesting." Was all I had time to say before she began to growl. Was it at me, or herself? Himself? Ah, damn it! Now I was getting confused!
It seemed the growl was toward themselves, for then the female started to talk again about her old master. Her words offered me plenty of insight. She had experience as a fighter, in some manner. Good enough. My grin nearly reached my ears when she asked if I was okay with monsters, and I eagerly told her, "I'm more than okay with monsters. I am a monster." I informed her, showing my teeth not in an aggressive way but to show her the blood from the rabbit, implying it wasn't always the blood of prey that stained my teeth. "You'd fit in fine." I assured her, before agreeing, "Mercy is for the weak and foolish. Mercy breeds vengeance, and creates more monsters, the monsters that aren't on your side but against you. You must be wise to who you create a monster out of." I knew from experiences some monsters within were better left undiscovered, and had the scars to prove I learned from that mistake. Mercy was a gateway to injury and regret.
"Most born with a mental sickness are, as I implied, born with it." I shot back at the alternate, irritated that he truly thought himself a true being within this dog. If that were to be the case, there would be far more devastating consequences. I knew much of spirits, of the ancient totems and the souls around us - he was not like that. A soul within a body that already had a soul, he'd have created a monster, a creature of legends such as the wendigo. So why wasn't I arguing with him about this? Because he wasn't a sentient body, and it would be pointless. Did that change my opinion? Of course not. But it did let me save my breath for more impactful conversation.
Again I heard the shift, the voice was less strained as it came out in a different pitch, and the dog's expression changed. I knew right away a less observant individual would be completely lost to the conversation by now, but I prided myself on my intelligence, acute awareness, and preperation. I heard "Syst" out despite my desire to ask where System was, more intent on what he had to say. A soft chuckle left my throat as I responded with a fairly quiet, "Bleed, yes. Lose to you? Not likely. You may be wiser in battle, but your strength is forever limited to her body. You cannot deny that." Not that I didn't admire his resolve to fight, and I did believe he could plan better in a battle than his "host", but no wolf alone could handle a bear unless it was hibernating. If no wolf could, absolutely no dog could. Bears were simply too powerful, they were, if adults and not sleeping, the superior predator. At least, in a one on one scenario. A pack, maybe even just two wolves could handle a bear, but by one's self? Damn near impossible, if not completely so. I suppose it was a matter of seeing would be beliving, as thus far in my time I'd never seen nor heard of a bear and wolf battle ending in the canine's favor.
"You should watch your tongue if you care to protect your System." I had the decency to warn him, baring my teeth; this time out of aggression. "I do not fear you. Neither would my son fear you. And together, we would tear your host to shreds and feed it to the snakes that slither along the ground." Usually, I'd do such instead of threaten it, but as aforementioned I had a belly to protect just in case, and part of me wanted to recruit this maniac. He was, she... oh hell, IT was just about perfect. © BRAVE 2017

thoughts forward personality speaks inward personality speaks aloud Syst, ever aware, noted that something of realization seemed to flicker, if only for an instance across the she-wolf's face. Had he been a physical being, he would have tilted his head to the side all the while pondering. Though, since this was not the case for him, he only thought of turning his head - outwardly there was a slight jerk within their neck muscles, as if their head were trying to turn itself, but didn't quite get the full signal too. He wondered curiously why she suddenly seemed to wary, hesitant to continue on the trajectory that they had been heading down. Well, fuck, I wanted a fight, He thought. Confusion fluttered across System's face, but she didn't respond otherwise to the inner monologue that Syst was having. He did this sometimes, she knew. He would sort through the situation, his hypervigilance, his intelligence playing a key role in his observations that he would relay to their body that she herself was largely unaware of. "You're interesting." System perked up, her tail wagging slightly. "I've heard that a lot before. Usually, right before someone tries to bite my throat!" She paused for a second, brow furrowed as she thought. "You aren't going to bite my throat, right?" She appeared to be talking to herself - herself, and not Syst - before she shook her head and returned to her overly joyous demeanor. 'That grin,' Syst whispered to her. 'She finds that quite interesting... I wonder what this white bitch has in mind for that knowledge? Perhaps you'll get back to the fights. The idea of this did not thrill Syst like it did his counterpart. Of course, he didn't mind the opportunity to hone the skills that he had been blessed with, but he didn't enjoy the idea of possibly being under the dominion of another. Had System not ran for fear of herself, his plan to butcher the Master would have been carried out. His own thoughts though had leaked into System's consciousness and she became scared of herself for thinking of killing the master that she loved so dearly. Syst knew better than anyone that System needed someone to cling to and to strive for the odd compliment here or there, but that didn't mean that he particularly enjoyed the dullness of it. "I'm more than okay with monsters. I am a monster." System's ears twitched, and she grinned back. "Well, I suppose a monster likes a monster. Right? There were lots of monsters at the fights! Some bigger than you!" Her jaws clamped shut suddenly, and the annoyed defiance of a child filled her features to the brim, before transforming into something akin to malice. "While that may be true, I would argue that mercy only breeds more fools and an even weaker generation who whine and cry when the rabbit shrieks between their teeth as they eat it. Mercy has no place in this world - it's harsh. But I suppose the weak do serve some purpose. They do taste so sweet when they don't see the teeth closing around their throats. I am quite fond of when the panic festers in their meat, I must admit. I liked tasting what I had created." He giggled at this, in an almost maniacal sort of way. "Perhaps someone should have told Mother that, when she decided against culling us, despite being born with maggots and rot."He reared back, and planted his haunches, lifting a paw to show offense. "What? You don't think I'm real? Oh, don't tell poor System that, she just couldn't handle that truth. But. I suppose the white bitch can think as she wishes." He turned the pads of his paw upwards, and made a little bow, snickering to himself. "Although, suppose you let me taste that, I'll agree to anything you say," eyes flicked to her back legs, almost hungrily. 'Syst, you're being foul,' He rolled his eyes and nodded. "Yes System, my sweet idiot. I know I'm being foul. It's much more fun to talk to a lady about what's between her legs, rather than to just shyly think of it." An eyebrow twitched as his eyes flicked back to the she-wolf. He grinned, broadly. "Don't forget my sweet white lady. I've killed bigger brutes than you with ease. Fighters who'd had years upon years of practice, who never lost their fights until they lost their lives. I know how to use this small body. I know its limits. It's strengths. A tooth here, a claw there, and your bowels are in the dust, and the tube in your neck is out. Bones break and muscles tear, do the right ones, and you can have your fun for hours with no risk of a retaliation." He spoke softly to her, almost purring his words out. "But he would not leave an orphan. Syst won't hurt you unless you hurt us." He rolled his eyes and muttered, "yes, yes, ever the valiant one you are. Puppies. What can I say?"Syst could see it on her face - she didn't believe his resolve to kill something so much larger than himself. No, he'd never killed an adult bear. But a young one, yes. All creatures were the same though. If they were big enough, dart under them and sever one of the strings within. One by one they won't be able to move their legs. A well-placed bite to the spine would sever it, and leave them unable to move, but still alive for a short time. Regardless of size, or species, they all had this crucial flaw, he had learned - the only true difficulty was getting to it without getting swatted, bit, or crushed. This tactic he knew was tried and true, and had won many a fight against brutes nearly twice his outward side, and who knew how many times his own strength. Giants fell just as easily as piss ants. System pushed herself out, annoyance fluttering across Syst's features for a moment. "And we do not fear you," He responded, before letting out a rather vulgar noise. "Oh would you please if I ever die? It sounds orgasmic." System dropped to her belly and covered her maw and eyes with her paws. "Oh shut up! I don't like it when you make those noises." She whined. 'What's wrong little System? Scared of a little moan? You made them quick enough for Masha. Make them quick enough for yourself. Why can't I make them?' He asked, purring in her ear, making them repeatedly for her. "I don't like them. And I don't! I didn't. I don't." She became defensive. How dare he say such things! She knew Syst would do as he liked, and that was something he liked, but how dare he! She didn't like those sorts of things, and only partook when he told her too because Masha had grown tired of him and his vulgarities. She snorted, and lifted her head, looking up at the she-wolf. "He is gross. I am sorry." She said before she stood up. "Will you forgive him?" She asked, tilting her head. Syst himself was utterly gobsmacked, a quiet anger rising within her that she wanted to cringe away from - it was never a good thing when that feeling came. 1222 words`Envis no notes

I chuckled softly in amusement as the dog questioned if I was going to bite her throat. With a soft shake of my head my answer was a breathy, "No." Short and sweet, as talking to the female side was not nearly as amusing as the male. I had a bit of trouble calling them two different genders, deciding maybe it would be best to call them by their respective names. Still odd, but it wouldn't be the weirdest thing in the world. Another simple answer when she commented upon monsters liking monsters, I just gave her a nod. I wasn't in the mood for cutsie conversation that connected certain souls with others. It was too close to a kind of love, something I didn't believe in past my love and pride for my child.
Syst came out to play on the mercy argument, and I was grinning ear-to-ear. My eyes seemed to light up an even more brilliant amber as I said to him, "You believe that to be so? That mercy has no place?" I stepped closer to him, tail swaying. "My mother showed me mercy when she chased me from my home, and in doing so she created another monster." I stopped to let out a giggle and say, "I was a monster prior, but after her foolish decision to let me go instead of kill me, look at what I have gained." I gestured with my head to the caves and nearby land. "The world is my playground! I have picked the strongest to walk beside me, I have found the mad and the wicked. See what her mercy has created?" I was the perfect example to back up my opinion of the act. If my mother had ended me, pups would be safe, and my pups born with Samuel would still be alive. But no, she had created a monster eager to rule and show the world how to properly command others to success.
At Syst's crude commentating, I almost wished I wasn't pregnant before being reminded the dog's body was of female genitalia. Damn, what a true shame. I thought, shaking my head to clear my thoughts of that desire. Laying with a female wasn't a foul idea to me, but neither was being with a male. I suppose getting technical I had no desire for sexual behaviors to begin with. The fact he'd made me ponder it for pleasure's sake was... impressive, to say the least. Hearing he wasn't going to rush in and harm Samuel was indeed a relief, but I wondered if it would pan out to be the truth. I wouldn't even to myself entertain the thought of understanding this dog yet, she was far too spliced.
I burst out in laughter at the "request", sitting down and trying my best to stifle the sound. This alternate personality was going to be my downfall if I wasn't careful! I watched the host as she tried to hide from herself, both of us knowing it was a fruitless effort. I let my laughter slowly soften to giggles and fade to silence as she hid her face and scolded the one within. She was a wild card of the best variety.
"He is actually quite the attractive... thing." I fumbled a bit with my wording. "No need to forgive him." I looked towards the cave, then back to System and told her, "I will say I forgive him, however, if it will shut you up." I knew some were persistent to get the answer they wanted. I hauled myself to my feet and said, "If you don't spook from things that slither, come with me." I picked up the rabbit carcass by it's head and nodded for System to walk beside me as I entered the cave., Almost immediately snakes began to rattle their tails and hiss as we passed by. They preferred to hide this morning, lessening the risk of a bite as I walked with purpose past the legless reptiles. © BRAVE 2017

thoughts forward personality speaks inward personality speaks aloud System wagged her tail happily, and reared slightly, and gave a slight puppy-like wiggle. Her eyes shone with nothing short of pure joy after the she-wolf had told her that "no," which System knew for a fact meant that the white wolf wasn't going to bite her. In System's logic, this equated to her liking her, and this knowledge filled her with happiness. To think! She could have a friend, someone outside of Syst who wouldn't wish to hurt her! It was a joyous occasion! "Well that's just great!" She quipped, and found herself being able to do nothing more than beam. Syst on the other paw realized something completely different with that singular 'no.' Inwardly, he tilted his head, pondering this revelation curiously. The bitch was absolutely bored by System. 'How curious...' He thought. System looked confused for a moment, but it didn't last long. She retreated back, letting him have his fun. Let the big dogs play. He spoke, and the she-wolf perked up. He grinned wickedly when his suspicion was confirmed. 'How absolutely fucking delightful,' Syst thought, swallowing the giggle that threatened to slip from his lips. "You believe that to be so? That mercy has no place?" He offered a nod, looking at her curiously, his eyes glittering with sheer excitement. "My mother showed me mercy when she chased me from my home, and in doing so she created another monster." She giggled, and his heart began to thump steadily, as the situation slowly began to push him towards something similar to a manic high. "I was a monster prior, but after her foolish decision to let me go instead of killing me, look at what I have gained." He kept his gaze steady on her, as she gestured around. "The world is my playground! I have picked the strongest to walk beside me, I have found the mad and the wicked. See what her mercy has created?" His head ticked to the side, and he giggled almost hysterically, most of the sensible notions leaving him, as a bought of madness began to sparkle in his eyes. "Mercy means jack shit because only the strong can give mercy. And when they cross that line, they have shown a weakness. They break their own facade! So, in theory, it makes them all goddamned fools. I have no doubt that such a beauty is a monster, you're positively batshit and I have to say... It really makes me want to eat you." He howled with laughter for a second, almost falling over in the hysterical fit. "We... We were born with grave-worms crawling in our siblings. All brothers. How damned sorry is it that I was a female? Could you imagine my spawn? They'd fuck the world bloody. Mommy dearest wanted only sons. She was going to kill us. She was forbidden from it though. They wouldn't let her kill her little bastard daughter! Now that would have saved a lot of fucking trouble. But I'm oh so glad they didn't kill my little System. Because it allowed me to be, to form her, to dominate her. Poor little bitch isn't anything but a slave to her own stupidity and insanity." He snarled. "Alpha took us in. He mounted once! He wanted little wolf-dogs with System's mind and his body. But would you know? Her cunt's missing! It doesn't feel like one in there!" He giggled again, before quietly whispering. "I asked him if he was sure he went in the right place, but apparently, he was."Syst began giggling hysterically, unable to help himself. What a glorious thing it was to find someone, that was for once on his level, who seemed to understand the things he said and seemed to enjoy it more than System's dimwittedness. Someone that could appreciate true beautiful insanity, even if he wasn't viewed as a valid being within her eyes, but oh, he decided, oh he would prove himself as separate from the damned body he was trapped within. Just as Syst always told himself, he may share a cunt, but the balls were fully his, where ever they were within the corpse he occupied. System observed this from behind, feeling as if she were looking over her own shoulder. The feeling of her own consciousness wagged its tail, but she knew the body did not copy. In his fits, she was unable to push herself out, no matter how hard she may try. She usually submitted herself to this fate, but now she could only stare in utter confusion. It was her friend. He didn't have to be so vulgar. But then again... This pretty wolf, this Pennita seemed to enjoy everything that Syst was putting out, and threw it right back at him. She whined quietly, feeling slightly like something was horribly wrong. But then... Maybe that was only her own insecurities. Her old master had loved Syst, even though he hadn't been quite aware of his existence. They had been very similar! They'd even shared a voice. System had for a while thought it to be her master having somehow come into her mind - in this time she'd assumed that had happened when he'd mounted her, and put himself where ever he had that he claimed was 'not female, despite everything else.' He had had the right of it, she knew, of her insides being warped. In all her years, she'd never once bled, never drew the males like other females did. She'd never personally thought very much of this... But Syst speaking of it made her realize it, and she thought it 'quite curious' to phrase things like she knew Syst would. System found herself in a bit of a fog, torn somewhere between present conversations and previous points. She looked curiously at the she-wolf, suddenly being forward once more. She looked beyond it for a moment and stared at the she-wolf. 'Who's she?' She thought. Syst grumbled inwardly, and spoke, with her mannerisms, and voice. "He's just mean, and vulgar. But he is mine, and I am his, so that's okay. He didn't offend you..? Okay... I... Yes, ma'am."He used her confusion to his benefit before he allowed her to drift fully away, lost for the time in the fog that constantly resided behind them that was their conjoined consciousness. For only a moment, he felt bad for getting so caught up with the she-wolf. It was gone a moment later though, as he watched her, and began to slink after her, head low, paw steps light, a quiet shadow following the white wolf. He giggled to himself before he spoke aloud. "Why would I shy from things that slither, when they should shy from me?"1122 words`Envis no notes

I raised an eyebrow slightly as the little dog wiggled her body as if her crush had asked her to mate with him. What... what in the world was I really getting into? Was the mind opposite of this within her truly worth my time? I let my tail sway in uncertainty as I tilted my head, looking her over more critically. She wasn't weak, but neither was she strong in terms of muscles. As long as Syst "came out" when battles broke out, I knew he was focused on brain instead of brawn, and that was something I required. Of course grunts who could throw their weight around were a need, but the smart ones were of the most use. This was the only reason I was even considering this canine. They had the potential, all I had to do was entice loyalty.
The conversation of mercy was going on a bit too long after I had rambled myself, so I snorted at his comments, even the sexual ones that made me that much more amused. It was time to move on, we had much more important matters to discuss. "Yes, yes," I said softly as I went to grab the rabbit's carcass. "We've been dawdling on conversation much too long. I will listen further to your complaints of being a child born the wrong way at a later date." I stated with a loud voice to make sure they got the message the matter was wrapped up to be opened another time. Right then, the time was for introductions. As we walked, I nodded and mumbled around the rabbit, "They know to avoid the truly dangerous." I was pretty sure the cold-blooded beasts knew if they bit me, I'd tear their heads off before falling to their poison. It was a double-edged sword, and somehow they knew this and yet to bite me or my son, or even strike. For "mindless" creatures, they knew what was best for them.
As we went further into the darkness of the cave, there was the pitter-patter of small paws, but not a puppy. Young and energetic, but there was too much weight to be a pup. My boy had grown well, and while he still had growing to do he was very much aware of his own strengths and weaknesses, and knew never to question me. As we rounded a corner the grey-rust color wolf yearling came into view. He had been chasing the snakes, nipping at their tails to force them under rocks. His attention was turned to me when he saw my fur, rushing over and sliding to an ungraceful stop. I rolled my eyes and threw the rabbit, which he easily caught. He gave System a raised eyebrow, but with a snort from my nostrils he turned and settled down nearby to eat the rabbit.
I turned to System and said, "My son, Samuel. He is almost two now, and he will soon take the title of alpha. Of course, he is still below me. I am the queen, the matriarch; hopefully, this introduction gives you an idea of how this pack with run. And overseer, a lord of sorts..." I trailed with a devious grin, clearly implying myself as the almighty of the land I had claimed. The cave here wasn't quite my land, but further in was the beginning of my scent markings. I sat between my son and System, well aware my boy was looking up from his meal to examine the guest before the food reeled him back in. He was a glutton, but he needed the meat. I licked my lips dry of any left-over blood, having already fed this morning. I took priority, he knew this, and was likely savoring the rabbit for that very reason. "Syst, System - would you be my warrior?" Notes Sam's bio isn't finished yet, but once I'm done they can properly talk. lol © BRAVE 2017
